The Bachelor of Business program is a joint program between University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City and Western Sydney University, Australia.

CONTEMPORARY CURRICULUM
 
With modern unit choices and materials, industry-based projects and placements, a flexible course structure, and a balance of theory and practical field studies, you will have the best preparation to be career-ready when you enter the world of business.
 
Units that you will take in the first year will provide you with the essential business knowledge that will be the platform for your career and equip you with the academic skills that will underpin your success in the degree. Units in the professional core will teach you to plan your career, innovate and analyse. You will also be able to explore and apply your skills and knowledge in a work-based learning unit. With a course structure unique to Western Sydney University, you build your degree to best suit your area of specialisation.
 
A WIDE RANGE OF SPECIALISATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL RECOGNITION
 
Ten industry-relevant majors have been created to equip you with expert skills across the three enterprise futures of Money, Markets and Management. The Money majors include Accounting, Applied Finance, Economics, and Property. The Markets majors are Hospitality Management, International Business, Marketing and Sport Management. Management majors are Human Resource Management and Management.
 
You will be able to select one of the three majors of Applied Finance, Marketing and International Business at UEH-ISB. In order to take up the other majors, you will need to transfer to Western Sydney University, Australia to complete the program.
 
By transfering to Western Sydney University, you can choose majors outside the business stream to give you a more diverse set of skills and knowledge. Depending on the majors and electives you choose, the Bachelor of Business can also see you graduate with industry specific accreditation from Australia’s leading institutions such as CPA Australia, Financial Services Institute of Australasia (Finsia), Australian Marketing Institute (AMI) or Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI).

The course consists of 2 levels of English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and 24 academic units, including twelve interdisciplinary core units to provide a foundation and twelve major units to enrich and deepen your understanding of enterprise futures.

CORE UNITS

As business students, it is imperative to have a clear understanding of how enterprises operate. It is also essential to adopt specific numeracy, literacy, diagnostic and legal skills to enable industry analysis and effective decision-making. These units will provide the foundation knowledge for all Majors; as well as incorporating introductory academic tools to assist with ongoing study in the degree.

 
PROFESSIONAL UNITS

As a future business owner or corporate leader, it is crucial that you focus on your own professional development. All students will undertake a professional stream of study that will improve your employability by developing your personal skills and appreciation for the demands of the 'real world'.

There are three professional streams for students to choose from- each stream is organized around abroad theme: money (accounting, economics, applied finance, property); markets (marketing, international business, hospitality management, sport management) and management (human resource management, management). These units will enable individual career planning, innovation exploration, refined applied business techniques, and engagement in a capstone unit that explores enterprise futures in an applied and integrated model of learning specific to a professional discipline context.

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS

  • Successfully completed the High School Certificate with a GPA of at least 8.0 in Year 12; OR
  • Successfully passed the entrance exam of a university in Vietnam; OR
  • Transfer from other institutions in Vietnam and abroad (to be processed on a case by case basis).

ENGLISH REQUIREMENTS

STAGE 1

  • IELTS (Academic) 5.5 overall with a minimum 5.0 in writing (or equivalent).

STAGE 2

  • IELTS (Academic) 6.5 overall with a minimum 6.0 in each band (or equivalent).
